Celestron has reinvented the manual telescope with StarSense Explorer, the first telescope that uses its smart phone to analyze the night sky and calculate its position in real time. StarSense Explorer is ideal for beginners thanks to the easy to use interface of the application and detailed tutorials. It's like having your own gu íres to personal night sky personal.
Dock, Start, Scan.
I left complicated gr &arecuffs of stars, imprecise planetary applications and computerized mounts. With StarSense Explorer, locating objects has never been as easy, r &aaipido or precise. Within a few minutes of installing the telescope, navigate the sky with confidence. Simply place your phone on the exclusive StarSense dock and start the StarSense Explorer application. After you have been able to align your phone with the telescope's optical ó (a 2-minute request), the StarSense Explorer generates a list of currently visible celestial objects. Make your selection &o and the arrows appear on the screen, gui &making while moving the telescope. When the object is ready to see, the target turns green.
Smartphone compatibility.
StarSense Explorer works with the largest íres of modern smart phones, including the iPhone 6 or higher, and the largest í of devices with Android 7.1.2 or later, manufactured since 2016.
StarSense sky recognition technology with patent pending.
StarSense Explorer uses patent pending technology. In order for your smart phone to determine exactly towards the 'point' the telescope is pointing in the night sky. A space-loss p-algorithm (LISA), such as those used by sat &eacilites in the orbit to reorient correctly, helps the application to match the star patterns it detects in its internal database.
While other space applications can tell you that they can help you find objects, they depend exclusively on the gyroscopes and aceler meters of the phone, which are not as precise as the technology. No other application can tell you with precision how your target is visible in the eye.
Dazzling views with high-quality, optical &oatesas.
With a big target of 254 mm, this telescope has sufficient capacity for light capture to highlight impressive details on celestial objects.
