Rear Armor
The bottom of the card reveals improvements. Most of the rear portion is wrapped in a metal-protective rear plate that features a wide-ranging vent. The vent allows hot air to escape into the air extractors of the chassis instead of being recycled to the GPU sink. The support provides additional stability to the connection between the die and the heat sink. Stainless steel is used for the I/O support to protect the ports and provide secure assembly. And a conveniently located Dual Bios switch allows for the customization of the default performance profile of the card without software.

An impressive addressable RGB element on the front of the card can be customized with Armory Crate to create a uniform appearance along with other ROG components. To meet the energy demands of the Radeon RX 6700 XT, there are two 8-pin power supply connectors, along with an integrated circuit that monitors the power supply rail voltage. The circuit is sufficiently r &aaipido to detect any transient causing the rail voltage to drop too low. If that happens, a red LED will be lit to indicate a power supply problem. The ROG Strix is reinforced with a metal frame that is also visible here, adding a literal layer of durability.
